I've tried this both ways, sheet of paper and notebook, and have gone back to
the notebook forum . . . harder to lose. I pick orange notebooks and mark
Field Crosses on the front, adding each year as I go. In earlier times I used
one entire book per year, but now I can collect 2 or 3 years in one book. I
set more pods per cross and that takes less notebook space.

I once used a second orange notebook for the permanent records but have
modernized that with a computerized list and printout that goes into the
presentation notebooks I mentioned earlier. I can combine several years of work in just
one notebook, and I find it much more convenient. Less likely to be ruined
if you leave them out in a summer storm too! ;-)

As I need to replace my plastic, numbered tags, I will switch to the blinds
also. I've a favorite black cat that loves to chew on blinds, so I've several
that have been replaced. A never ending source of plastic. I use a regular
hole punch to punch holes in the milk jugs, and I'm hoping it will work on the
blinds too!
