Linda, you should not do this! Heating your mixture will evaporate the alcohol producing a flamable mixture which could be ignited by the microwave. Ditto for using the stove top. Capping the jars is not a option as pressure may build up in the jar and break it compounding the hazard. A safe way would be to place the jars in a pot of hot water and do it outside or a well ventillated room away from electrical equipment.
