I tried burning before and forgot to think that burning also burns labels. If you attempt it make sure you have a map of your garden. Fall burning has the dissadvantage of removing any cover that might protect from a open hard winter. If you have a continuous snow cover of course it is no disadvantage.

I have an area that is often too moist in the spring to attempt burning
with. The area is rather dry at this point and does have some
additional, unsightly weed mass (I know I'm not doing my job! :-)) that
I would like to get of this fall if possible.
