TB: Smelly Leaf Infection Blight?

I have pulled a couple of individual "goopy" looking leaves from plants 
recently, and they have had a horrific smell. I would best describe this as a 
"spoiled shellfish" odor, intense. I looked this up and think it might be "leaf 
blight."

The rhizome and other leaves don't seem to be affected. Is there something I 
should do to the plant once the leaves in question are removed?
