Re: HYB: Marking 'keepers'

Every clump has a name tag, and if it is not a keeper, the tag get pulled and laid on the ground ahead of the clump.

Betty mentioned putting flags out to mark her babies that rebloom.

I haven't had enough seedlings until this year to need to mark 'keepers'
- I've been numbering each plant individually within the row. When
they aren't in bloom (so I won't be tempted to keep a less than healthy
plant), I go through and pull and throw away the ones showing signs of
severe disease susceptibility (mother rhizomes with soft rot).

Now I'm getting some seedlings blooming this fall, and will probably
have some bloom ahead of the others that I am going to want to move
where they will have more room.

How do the rest of you mark keepers?
