As I recall, it is a 1937 bright red-ish rust-ish bi-toned iris, not really
a bi-color as such. It certainly looks its age.

Here is a description from the 1941 Schreiner's catalog. This height
estimation is grossly at variance with what I've seen it do around here, where it is
likely to be dumpy.

FRANK ADAMS (Lapham, 1937) M 48"
This flamboyant iris carries its blooms on about as ideally spaced and
proportioned branches as could be desired. The fine form reminds one of the all
around excellence of Depute Nomblot. It is a rosy fawn bicolor with standards
fawn-tan blended with pink and falls with a tantalizing tan undercast giving
unusual warmth and vibrancy to its colors.

falls. Outstanding contrast. I think this is correct, so I would say that you have
a
misidentified "ACCENT." >>

ACCENT (Busse, 1952) is more modern in form, albeit it is tailored. The
colors are clear and unblended. The falls are really rubid and velvety. In my
garden, the center of the back of the falls is nearly white and the long buds
are very pointed and elegant. Verily, a humdinger.
