Thanks for your detailed comments! I have printed them out for future reference when bloom season rolls around again.

 

I am very much in agreement with you about RAJAH (K. Smith, 1942). Even though it was bred on the East Coast (Staten Island, NY), it is a rock solid dependable performer here in northern Utah. It makes a wonderfully effective clump in bloom - very floriferous and the flowers are very contrasty. The individual flowers are not equal in form and quality to ACCENT or FRANK ADAMS (if I really do have both of these) and the stalks are shorter (both the others exceed 40" in height), but RAJAH cannot be beat for mass effect.
