Francelle & All,
I mainly breed for rebloom, but I'm in zone 6 and work with both
California/Australian rebloomers (sporadic) and northern hardy rebloomers.
Rebloomers come in all types just like the rest. Some seedlings will sob
and die, some will fail to increase well, and some will grow like crazy!
The general public doesn't see the ones that are slow growing or
temperamental since the hybridizers don't usually introduce them.
