AIS: Guest Iris

Well, so much for the test garden paradigm! 
 
Maybe some simple and brief standardized AIS forms might be drawn up  which 
would include a few observations on plant growth to be made at certain  points 
in the cycle of guestship, maybe three times a year, say, observations on  
increase amd whatnot, condition of foliage, etc., winter survival, with  
appropriate records to be included regarding times  of fertilizing, spraying etc., and 
comments on any unusual or extreme  weather, or other occurances, and the 
general aspect, soil, etc. of the garden.  Notes on rebloom go without saying. 
Frankly, I think this sort of communication  falls into the category of common 
courtesy.
 
Hybridizers could indicate whether they actuallly wanted such a form kept  on 
each of their plants in each garden, or not.  Differences  between 
performance, and culture, would thus be documented. I really don't think  this would be 
too burdensome. Might even be interesting for the host,  too.
