forgot to mention, if you do choose to download this it is large and over a
phone line can take up to 10 hours -so not recommended unless you are on
high speed.

while back.

In a previous e-mail to hort.net I got lots of positive feed back on
openoffice use by others. I have Access so probable will just stay w it for
now.
I use an older version that does allow ole files.  But I haven't check my
new version that's w Vista on my laptop.

The database I have created has forms and queries already built to allow
the
user to enter the various iris information.  The user doesn't need to  learn
Access.  Software has been added to allow the user to select which  pictures
to display for the iris.  The user can select one picture of  select
multiple
pictures.  The picture is displayed with the iris  information and you can
cycle through the pictures.

However, the big drawback of Access database is that unless you have
Microsoft Professional Office, you will have to purchase it prior to running
the
database.   It costs over $100.  It is great that there are other
alternatives.
Plus there is that matter of entering all that  information...
