Re: REB: good ol HoM & SDBs

Sorry, Loic, Betty. Average first frost date here is mid October, sometimes have really hard (killing) freezes by late October, so no time for a pod to mature.

Plus buds on HoM aren't showing color yet, so it will be a race to see it open before some cold.

Oog - I do make retro crosses, but not <this> retro - '79 X '84, both yellow and neither an everbloomer...

Loic, if you are serious about wanting seeds, I will be happy to attempt a cross for you next spring, if they cooperate!

Seems odd that there are no IB's from HoM in the online registry. A nice mix might be with an everblooming SDB. Unfortunately, most of the SDBs don't do well here (too hot and erratic rain), so I don't grow many.

However BABY BLESSED seems to be thriving with that thick mulch ..... hmm, maybe I could try a few again.

FOREVER BLUE is the only everblooming SDB I've heard a lot about. Are there any other SDBs more or less for our climate, preferably with spot pattern, that are everbloomers?
