I can't tell you what will or won't happen in any given cross. I can give
you examples of things I've done & what I've observed.
Innocent Star X Rebound. Innocent Star is Sutton's and reblooms in
California. I've no memory of it trying to rebloom here. Rebound is mine and
reblooms here but is not reliable to rebloom every year. I harvested fourteen
seeds. Of those, seven lived to bloom. Five of them rebloomed here for me. One
is Echo Location, and another is a repeat bloomer. It blooms again in June
or early July, but has never bloomed in the fall. Standards are a little too
open to suit me but it's tall & nice. The other three are not dependable.
Of course, the only one that rebloomed this year was Echo Location.
As to Immortality seedlings? (Research I did in the 80's indicated
Immortality & Feed Back were everbloomers)
1624=Star Gate x non-reblooming sibling to Sincerely Yours. Extended this
is (Feed Back x Violet Miracle) X (BIT-Glistening Icicle x Immortality) x
(Feed Back x Titan's Glory) Sincerely Yours does not rebloom but does give
reblooming children as does Love Lines.
BIT is Bridge In Time. This cross (1624) sprouted while I lived in BG and
was growing at Jim's house. I potted the 4 largest in 3 gallon pots and
planted the rest at Jim's. I lot track of the ones at his house but none were
impressive. All 4 of the potted ones rebloomed in the fall of 2003. 1624-1Re
is one of the strongest rebloomers that I've seen here. Many stalks both
spring and fall . . . not this year. Others did not please me! <vbg>
2109 may be interesting to you, when I have more information to share.
1804-G2-1:(((Silverado x Immortality) x (Bridge In Time x (Feed Back x Titan's
Glory) x Star Gate) X 1803-G2-1: 1004-5Re:((Immortality x Pledge Allegiance) x
F37-ReBrSt:(Immortality x Beau Zam)) x Codicil
Both seedlings are tall & strong. Immortality is on both sides. The pod
parent had about a dozen siblings that rebloomed and the pollen parent had 3.
Larger planting on the pod parent so that may be the reason for more rebloom.
Most plants are strong in the garden. Planted 40, but there are more.
1606-1Re=0915-2:Non-reblooming seedling from ((Victoria Falls x Vanity) x
Immortality)) x (Latest Style x Glistening Icicle) X Bridge In Time. The pod
parent had a sibling that looked exactly like it that rebloomed. The pod
parent of 0915-2 did rebloom. The pollen parent was Love Lines which doesn't
rebloom but it generous with rebloom children. This produced one rebloomer,
but there weren't many seedlings.
More??
