I had a special seedling (isn't it always the special
ones) that bloomed out in May/June. I had tried
pinching out one of the bloomstalks (it had three fans
/ three bloomstalks) in hopes that I could encourage
it to make some increase fans. Unfortunately, this was
unsuccessful.
As the fans withered, I marked the spot and have been
hopefully inspecting ever since. The tops of the
rhizomes where the fans had been attached are still
visible (but no green whatsoever). I'm just wondering
if anyone has ever had one of these guys "come back
from the dead" or am I just wasting my time.
