Just for clarification, these were the very fine feeder roots, not the large
roots we talk about going 2 feet or better. This variety, as well as most
of it's children, had almost no damage at all during the spring freeze. As to
permanent damage to the plant itself, there are others in the same location
that I can watch.
I've found that the rebloomers, in general, tend to have these roots in
abundance. When I report a seedling has a huge root system, these roots are
usually a factor.
