Sorry, Chuck. But that's NOT the way the data are or ever have been collected.
Your refusal to report sporadic rebloom is your business, but if you want to change the information in the rebloom checklist, I suggest you take it up with the Reblooming Iris Society.
Or you <could> volunteer to start a new, supplemental checklist that only contains names of irises that have reliably rebloomed.
Not sure what your criteria would be - for irises that have rebloomed for 2 out of 2 yrs or 3 out of 3 or? And it would also probably have to distinguish between zone 8 in CA vs zone 8 in Georgia.
How many times would you want it to be? Every year? For at least 5 yrs? Feel free to start making such a database any time.Maybe the RIS needs to take on the task of chastising advertisers who claim rebloom. Good luck getting Lowe's et al to put correct labels on things, much less to stop claiming rebloom, but iris specialists with catalogs might cooperate.
