Dykes' big iris book has been reprinted by Dover Press in a large-format
edition with good reproductions of the fine watercolor illustrations. It
is available through amazon.com at a very reasonable price.
I would recommend that every serious iris hobbyist try to build a library
of iris books. Certainly the World of Irises and the aforementioned Dykes
book are within the fiscal reach of almost anyone. Many of the questions
we repeatedly get on the list are covered in one or the other of these two
books. especially the World of Irises.
