In preparing a review of the endangered and threatened irises listed in
the most recent IUCN Red Book, I have been unable to trace the original
description of Iris hy(i?)eruchamensis. The Red Book author told me
that the original source of information for the list was Dr Michael
Avishai at the Botanic Garden in Jersusalem, however, e-mails to the
garden remain unanswered and other attempts to contact him through the
university have failed. The species is not mentioned in either of his
review papers on Oncocyclus in Bot. Gaz. Can anyone help?
