Hi Marja-- have no idea what your climate is--but all five of the Medians you listed I have grown quite successfully here in Zone 3/4--Shenanigan is a little slow in getting established, but then blooms magnificantly year after year--Hellcat is great, but give it room as it multiplies quickly, Butter Pecan fades a little if in the hot sun so I grow in under a Peach Tree--likes a bit of shade--Doll and Bed Time Story also do well---Medians are great, and help to extend the bloom season--are great for cut flowers and usually do not smell as strong as TB's---
To Heather and Bernard--your descriptions are wonderful and so enjoyable--can almost picture the setting--keep them coming--we have new snow on the mountains and frosted out last night--so nice to hear someone has blooms!
Saw on the news about the rain in the Midwest--cannot even imagine that much in a short time--hope it quits soon for you.
Attended the Region 13--Oregon, Wash and Alaska regional meeting last weekend--good talk by E. Roy Epperson on the new Judges Handbook, and since we did not tour gardens had lots of time to talk with other Irisarians--met two from here, and many other new ones--
nice to be able to put faces with names. Carryl in Western Montana Zone3/4
nice
