Which Dykes book do you Have? Every book I have checked cites Dykes "The
Genus Iris" 1913 in the bibliography (except for some smaller works
which lack a bibliography. Cassidy and Linegar "Gtrowing Irises" also
cites Dykes "Handbook of garden Irises" 1924
This is the book that was reprinted in 1975 by Dover. A friend purchased
it for around $120 (I think that was the price) in Australia, and I
imagine it would be around $60 U.S.
