Most of the rebloomers I bought from Superstition Gardens last year bloomed
the first fall. They were all planted in July and bloomed until freeze time
in Billings Montana. However none of them rebloomed this fall. The ones
that bloomed also bloomed again in the spring. However NO rebloom this
fall. Maybe the bloom was established before planting them for the first
fall. This year the rebloomers that are newly planted in August, Happy New
Year, My Friend Jonathan, Violet Miracle and Good Fairy are all blooming
now. We are in zone 4 and the iris club here, Big Sky iris Club ,is most
excited to get anything to bloom again in the fall. We have one club
member that moved her rebloomers from an all sunny area to partial shade and
they rebloomed this fall for her. Mine are in partial shade and did not
rebloom. I did add alfalfa to them after bloom and give them extra water.
Maybe I will have better results next season. Any suggestions for anything
else I might do to get them to rebloom in this area? My Immortality has
not bloomed or rebloomed since I planted it last summer. Janet & Shan,
Billings ,Montana Zone 4
