One more comment on this note. Years ago I grew a SA TB variety named MY
DARLING SCATTERBRAIN. Its bloom was variable, often blooming flat,
sometimes one or two of the standards would lay flat and sometimes the
flowers would bloom normal. All on the same stalk. Quite a sight to see
and no doubt why it has such a strange name. This variety grew and
bloomed every year for me and I enjoyed it very much.
I no longer grow this variety (gave it away to make room for other
things) and would like to grow it again. A few weeks ago someone on the
list mentioned having it as a new acquisition this year. I would be
interested in buying or trading for a piece next year if possible. I got
my original piece from Sutton's and I believe they no longer carry it.
