Last year in the northern hemisphere spring, Sharon McAllister asked all
on the list to report the health of purple based iris. The response was very
low so she canned that idea. I still think it would make a good study for
someone who is willing and able to collect and evaluate the information. I am
not fastidious enough with notes to even think of doing such a study, just
think it is a worthy idea as I have noticed the garden value of purple based
bearded iris foliage.
