Cult: Flower Abnormalities, LA's

From: "Walter Moores" <wmoores@watervalley.net>

Rodney and Heather have mentioned bloom abnormalities on Louisiana
cultivars. Earlier this year at bloomtime, I mentioned the LA cultivar
STARLIGHT STARBRIGHT. The terminal was a fully double flower, followed by
a single, and then a semidouble with the other buds being fully double.
Marie Caillet had mentioned this happening to her clone of SS and I asked
for a piece. If SS consistently does this, is this an abnormality or is it
normal for the plant to form double, single, semidouble blooms?

I recently tossed CAJUN COOKERY, not because of bloom abnormalities but
because of slow grown patterns. I have never had more than just two fans in
all the years I have grown it.

Now, the big question is what to do with SUN DREAM? SD is a knock-out
of a flower with perfect form and bud placement, yet there is never more
than two fans and none to share with visitors who so admire its beauty.
