Kathy--is there really a plant sociiety for non-green plants?? please send info about joining--thanks
Re: seeds-- the description of seeds in the pods is the same as I see when harvesting Spuria and/or Siberian pods--because the winter here is enough to scare any seeds out of sprouting, I hold all seeds till the next spring and then plant--I harvest pods and place each pod in a cup with name etc--then let dry out on the porch, pop the buds open and just store the seeds over winter--in cold--then when I plant in Spring all seeds are same--brown, dry--I follow the suggestion of Jean Witt and soak them in tea for 24 hours, the plant--and have so many sprout that too many plants is usually the problem--
If seeds have not sprrouted in a month, I put the pots out in trays, and leave them for the summer--it takes some spurias a long time to sprout--think they don't like the cold weather here--
I do the same for seeds from SIGNA and have pretty good percentage sprouting--usually more than 50%--but many of them take longer--
RE: BIS book--would someone put on some more info about this book mentioned? Is it available now? Where do I find it? Thanks in advance Carryl in western Montana--where fall is here and it is beautiful!!!
