I can't speak for Arnold, but too much rain depresses me. Here in Texas
we get it it huge globs and then drought, which is infuriating and
devastating, but the sky is not cloudy all day ;-) I get gloomy enough
when the days turn shorter and darker as it is, living in South Central
Teexas! I also like a *bit* of heat and some seasonal variation,
though my ideal climate would not rise above 90 degrees F or fall below
40 degrees F. I don't like constant humidity (which I grew up with) but
aridity is strange also.
I could not deal with the snow in Iowa. My childhood best friend (next
door neighbours from ages 4 to 18) lives in Rapid City, SD and gets by.
Befor that he was stationed in Maine. UGH! I just could not deal with
that unless I was forced to and even then I would like like it!
No, I better stay right here and if it gets too cold I can always move
back South ;-) to zone 9 where I grew up but inland to avoid humidity) or
down to zone 10 in the Rio Grande Valley where my kinfolks live. Only
problem is There's Nothing To Do and no trees or hills as there are in
lovely Austin. I think one of life's blessings is to be happy about
where you live -- whether you are blessed with a content spirit or
landed in the right spot. I happen to be in the latter category ;-)
Amy, with irises still in a box to be planted. Flooding has prevented
this for the last few days.
