IMHO plant them in as much straight peat moss soilless mixture as possible and
use huge amounts of Humore, manalfa, and/or alfalfa pellets. I'm not sure
that even some rhododendron & azalea fertilizer might not help...

Be sure they are in full sun... Siberians here anyway do NOT like any bit of
shade. My plants always look great (never chlorotic) but the partial shade I
have in the older bed just never has SIB bloom in it! Next year I should reap
the benefits of my new SIB sectioned bed in the sunny front! It does take
them a while to establish and bloom well.

One more thing, whenever I plant new things like that to get them going I
always throw on a little handful of 40-40-40 Osmocote to fire them off... I
buy it by the 50 pound bags from Rodd Moesel's American Plant Products. They
can be found at:
http://www.americanplant.com or e-mailed at amerplant@aol.com.
