OT-Plants: Freesia and Acidanthera

From: "william b. cook" <billc@atlantic.net>

Some stores here have Freesia Bulbs for sale. The Sunset National
Garden Book indicates that they can be grown here. Do any of you know if
Freesias would grow in the Ocala, Florida area?
When I lived in Kentucky, I had a plant called Peacock Orchid
(Acidanthera). I eventually gave it all away because I tired of having to
lift and store it every fall, and I did not have good storage space. I
wonder if this species would grow here, and what would be a good source of
the plant if it would grow here.
