Ian, I share your awe. I came back from the Empire State Iris
Society/Region 2 Fall Meeting to find buds on MATRIX, QUEEN DOROTHY,
IMMORTALITY still unscathed by killing frost. I was able to report to Dave
Schreiner that their BEST BET had indeed rebloomed here this year---talk
about shock on my part!
Another week of mild temperatures is forecast. Last year we had a heavy
snow just about this time, and frost way before that.
The weather this year has been abnormally superb here for growing things,
and I don't expect to see similar conditions again for a long while.
