Is it not "common" for iris to bloom out then put on a show a
year or so later? That's exactly what happened to my One Desire.
Thought I had lost it when it didn't show at all last year, then this year
there it was and even more beautiful than ever. In fact, several of the
iris that didn't bloom in 1997 outdid themselves this year. Could it
be that in 1997 I wasn't able to water at all (though Mother Nature did
help a bit that year) because we were living in a house under construction
with a very fragile well (yes, still am and may be for the rest of my life)
and when it did rain we had torrential downpours whereas this year we
had lots of hot, sunny weather after a nearly perfect spring?
