Paul.... this JI exists in the hearts and minds of anyone who hybridizes
JI's.... and maybe on the pages of some of the less scrupulous catalogs - but
certainly nowhere else.

There is a school of thought, however, that says that they may once have been
a red JI in the wild, that was lost eons ago as the population grew..... but
that there may be a recessive gene somewhere that could restore the color to
the pool.

Kathy Guest in E. Aurora, NY... who does some pollen-daubing, but nothing
anyone outside her own garden would be interested in.
