Hi Vickie,
You are right, not many people like brown irises, including me.
Well....I like them if the color is clean.
I grew Dutch Chocolate years ago and liked it VERY much. Dutch Chocolate
is an older Schreiner variety that grew well for me. It was a very
smooth, warm chocolate color with just a hint of reddish hue to it. And
thought it was not registered as a rebloomer, it had a good reputation
for reblooming in different areas of the country. It never rebloomed for
me though.......story of my life.
I still see Dutch Chocolate offered for sale in catalogs so you should
have no trouble finding it. Try the Schreiner's catalog next year.
