I am HIPSource@aol.com and a great fan of ONE DESIRE.
'HIPSource' is my address and my title. I am the Commercial Source Chairman of
the Historic Iris Preservation Society, the special interest group affiliated
with AIS which is concerned with cultivars more than thirty years old and
historically important Iris species. In this capacity I provide referrals for
places to purchase irises people are looking for. I also informally broker a
few trades, swaps and donations as the need arises, and I am confident we will
be able to ensure Roberta will have a lovely start of her iris.
Anyone looking for older irises is welcome to contact me privately after the
first of the year when the 1999 catalogs will be starting to come in. With
some very rare exceptions, I, as a courtesy to the nurseries and to avoid
sending people on wild goose chases and causing a good deal of bother and
wasted effort, avoid making referrals based on expired catalogs.
