Iris pallida variegata seems to be both pod and pollen fertile. I have 
seeds this year from crosses both ways with Striped Britches, a variegated 
leaf TB with white bloom.

I've also managed to get quite a few seeds by crossing it to a tall 
unidentified TB (a favorite of mine.).
