This may be hard to believe, but VIBRATIONS is a pretty good grower
here. Sometimes damaged by late freezes, but not as bad as many, and
not as prone to subsequent rot. I had enough increase to bring some to
our club sale this year. Maybe it needs to be heavily watered in the
winter & spring then alternately drowned and dehydrated thru the
summer. Maybe your winters aren't cold enough. Maybe there aren't
enough rocks in your soil. Add alfalfa pellets. Treat it like a
rebloomer. Use 6-12-12 with trace elements. Interplant with chamomile,
horse nettle, turnips, wild morning glories, and knotweed. Those are
the main things I do to mine - see if any of those things help.
Keith K's irises generally haven't done well in this general area, but
two I bought from him last year have done well. VIBRATIONS is a Dunn
iris, I think.
Irises are SO wierd.
