Dear Linda: In a word, each of the hardy iris mentioned has at least one
parent that is super-hardy and remontant. I tried to send a reply to
patrick Orr that I have worked for hardiness for 50 years, first in Canada,
then in Indiana, 29 years in Virginia, and now almost 10 years in NC. These
are all climates where one may have both heat and moisture in the summer.
There is considerable difference in the winter cold, of course. Glad you
are having some good rebloom. Lloyd Zurbrigg in Durham NC
