LA: Irises for Houston

From: "Mark Cook" <billc@atlantic.net>

William Groth,
Welcome to iris-talk. You can grow Irises in Houston, but not the same
kinds as farther north. Try the Louisiana Irises. They are suitable for
the Gulf Coast climates. They do have to be kept moist, so if your soil
does not hold water very well, they would have to be grown in sunken kiddie
pools like I grow them here in the sandy hills in Florida.
