I think you are wrong as I shaved and potted rzs here in 2ndand 3rd week of 
September which is way late for this area and they are rooted wtih the roots 
all grown out of the pots already and it has been cold and dreary here Re> 
hurricanes.  Hope they don't rot though.  
I will mulch these through the winter so i can sell potted in the spring 
while in bloom.  Now my question is  Should I put cloth over them before 
mulching with hay so they don't get so wet all winter and into spring.?
