Hi Di and Bill,
No, Bernard and I won't be attending the Victorian Iris Show this year (but
would just love to!). Time is at a premium in the iris patch this year
because of our many garden centre display commitments. Shan't be doing that
the same way next year.
Our La. iris have peak-bloomed and POTPOURRI ROSE is doing its usual
stunning wrap-up for us at present.
However, I saw a great "rev up" for the Victorian Rose Society's big event
on last Friday nights "Gardening Australia" TV programme, which is something
that we always make time to watch, no matter how busy we are!
Best wishes to you jolly band of Rose-lovers. Would love to be on that bus
with you Di and enjoying once again the warm hospitality of the Mildura
folk. Have a great week.
I am sure that your week in "the big smoke" will include a visit out to
Flemington Racecourse next Tuesday to enjoy the race that stops the nation
every year. Don't forget to have a flutter and put something for me on
anything with an iris-related name! (ie. Jacaranda Lad or any of his
grandkids that might be doing a turn of the turf!)
