In the case of Florida, it depends on the plants. Neither Irises or
Daylilies are on the list of restricted plants. Florida does have laws to
serve a twofold purpose: To keep out pests of Citrus Crops, and to keep out
aggressive exotic plants. Non-native plants are okay, as long as they are
not on the "aggressive" lists. Examples of plants not to try to bring into
Florida include the Chinese Tallow Tree, Water Hyacinth, and Air Potato.
