My friend Yves recently build a deck out of treated lumber , he gave the
dog some scraps to play with and she was sick  for three days.  He was
also sick for a few days.  It is recommended to use a dust mask and wear
suitable hand protection when working with this highly toxic lumber.

It is also recommended to NEVER use treated lumber to border vegetable
gardens , the lumber supposedly remains toxic for up to 20 years.  One
of the chemical engineers warned us about  this last year.
