I can verify this, as I have been growing one of Linda's seedlings that she
sent me. It is recklessly fertile, too, even though by rights it ought to
be a rather infertile triploid.

Old-fashioned-but-not-historical Iris is quite a mouthful - why not just
refer to the concept as Retro Iris?
