I may be the one who mentioned newspaper, as I use a vast amount in my
garden. I doubt that newsprint is very toxic, as we all handle it every day.

I say this tongue in cheek, Rosalie, but cuddling your cat is probably more
of a health risk, than using newspaper as mulch in your garden.
