I have been using newspapers down the middle of the
rows on my TB iris for a year now to help cut down on
weeds and grass. These iris look better than the iris
I have planted in the beds. Not only do the papers
keep weeds under control, but they also help keep
moisture in the soil. I use bricks to hold them down
so the wind can't catch them and blow them across the
lawn.

I will definitely keep using newspapers for weed
controll.
