I thought every serious irisarian wanted two artifacts: The Genus Iris by W.
R. Dykes (the original edition, of course) and a set of sterling silver of
Silver Iris. Both of these can be found on e-bay and, for me, both come under
the heading "major investment." Silver Iris from International Silver has a
design that fills my requirements: it looks like a bearded iris and not like
the victim of Poast spraying as do so many designer redditions of iris.
