Correction. please, I think! I "wrote" about seeing this beautiful
rebloomer up in Joan Robert's garden near Gettysburg and commented on its
sweet fragrance. Well, the cut bloom I have here is anything but "sweet"
smelling. Not TOO unpleasant, but not worth commenting on. I wonder whether
the overall fragrance in her garden was the factor, or does the scent change
the next day? I know those beautiful pinks sometimes really "stink" (my
mother would have frowned on such an unladylike term). which is surprising
when they are so lovely to look at. Anyhow, I just wanted to clear the air,
so to speak - my "sniffer" has not deteriorated with age! (such as my
"figure"! - Here's a funny - yesterday I went to the water-exercise class for
arthritics or whatever -- and theinteresting thing is that all those
instructors make me look small in circumference! So I commented to one of
the others that no one at this so-called athletic club has a good figure.
The young girls that parade around in bathing suits or skintight body suits
are so skinny they have no curves - nothing to hug! - and the older people
there have so many you couldn't reach around them! 'Nuf said. sorry John,
for digressing. Rosalie nr Baltimore USA Zone 7 ryfigge@aol.com
