Bill, the Gardener is in Reading, Berks; UK not sure of zone. Making new bed , planting bedding plants such as merigolds. The ground is weeded over and just digging to put in plants.
Japanese Beetle grubs??
I thought maybe more than one critter is involved here?? She did mention that two near by roses were full of black spotted leaves...
