Need your help:
Here in zone 18 (Humboldt County) Arcata, California, where the redwood trees grow, we have a lot of rain which causes leaf spots and what I call rust (small red spots on the leaves). Last year, I sprayed my irises on a regular 2 week schedule, but they started to die back on the tips of the leaves, "like fertilizer burn", so I went to a 3 week schedule, no change. I use Daconil and alternate with Funginex, 1 tablespoon per gallon. I started this about mid March. My questions are: (1). How often should I spray and (2) what types of spray can I use to control these two diseases. Any help will be appreciated. Last year the flowers were beautiful but the leaves really looked bad. Besides cleaning up all of the leaves what can I do.
Thanks
Mike Norberry
