Linda, you can't necessarily believe published pedigrees.  I know of 
two currently marketed CV's that have a dominant trait (the WHOLE 
CLOTH type inhibitor) that simply is NOT accounted for in the 
pedigree.  It comes only from parents which come from parents, etc., 
that have at least one dose of the factor, and when NOTHING in the 
pedigree accounts for it, it does make one wonder.  The PROGENITOR 
inhibitor doesn't appear out of "whole cloth" unless WHOLE CLOTH 
(pardon the pun) or one of its kin is in the ped.
