About fifteen years ago, I brought what was supposed to be a pink iris
from Home Depot. It bloomed lavender. I kept it though and soon
realized it was one of my best irises, a good grower, good bloomer and
very beautiful. I called it "Lavender Blue." After I joined my iris
club, it didn't take long to find out it was Mary Frances.
