Just a word of praise for Schreiner's Pacific Pride Collection
(that was the 4 irises on the back cover of their 2002 catalog).

For the sum of $24.95 (US $), they offered CELEBRATION SONG,
DIABOLIQUE, WORLD PREMIER and YAQUINA BLUE. I ordered it and
Schreiner's sent NIGHT RULER as a bonus. :-) So, got 5 wonderful
'large' rhizomes for under $5 each and they have taken off like
gangbusters. In fact, the TBs I rec'd this year looked
exceptional while the medians had a harder time getting adjusted
(acclimated ?). The Meds. are now showing new growth and have
greened up. The Siberians vary depending on the supplier and
when they were received...the earlier the better, of course.

Feeling sheepish saying it but there is no rot anywhere 'still'.
I feel the other shoe will drop in the spring of 2003 and please
pass the Comet, bleach, dial soap and chemicals.

Ellen
